hi all,
Overall i am very happy with this printer. the only concern its not fast enough to print papers but printing quality (b&W and colored) is excellent with very easy to install and sending and getting fax very handy. Another exceptional good thing its ink is very cheap to buy.

This printer is actually very good. It's ideal for the home/office. I looked at a lot of printers before settling on this one, after my cheap, tiered Lexmark gave up. It suits the needs of the average, all round users very well. My use is personal printing and scanning documents for business.

The scanner is actually surprisingly fast and produces good quality. I've scanned in pictures and copies of invoices for electronic records. It handles both just fine.

The document feeder is particularly handy for taking quick copies of documents. Perfect for me if I need to quickly reproduce a copy of an invoice.

Separate colour cartridges is also nice as you don't have to replace the lot if you've only used the black etc.

I've printed text documents and text & picture documents and have been happy with the results. Many of the documents I need to print include a logo and sometimes heavily formatted text. Chucking out flyers also works well.

I've no intention of using the fax, but it's a nice choice to have I suppose.

I have a long hate-hate relationship with printers, so I never believed I could find one that actually printed, printed well, scanned when you asked it to, let alone try and do something complicated like feed paper, but lo! I have been completely proven wrong. Here is a printer that even after 6 months does everything it says it does, it makes good quality printouts, its easy to set up and use and hasn't filled my PC will endless unnecessary software. The cartridges are very cheap too, if you look carefully enough.

Brilliant! And a big well done to Epson.

Bought this mainly as a Fax machine with the rest of the functions being back-ups for existing hardware.

Couldn't get the fax to work, so rang Epson support, who stated that the fax doesn't work with digital phones! How many people now have analogue phones?!? Looked at all of the literature for the machine and this is never mentioned - the support guy stated that if I had called their pre-sales line they would have told me - like, how many people do that, everyone checks the website?

So now can't use the fax and can't send it back, as it's taken out of the package. Therefore stuck with (an adequate) printer, scanner and copier, but still requiring a fax that works with digital phones!

If you want this for the fax function, do not buy it, look elsewhere.
