This is a basic phone and looks a bit bulky and unstylish, but it does the job. The range isn't that good as I can't use it upstairs, but for the price you pay, you can't expect too much from it I guess. It would be nice to buy a better and slimmer phone with a wider range, but for now this one will have to do.

After recently moving I needed to get a land line phone and as I had some Amazon vouchers to spend this appeared to be a good one to go for. Philips is a name I have trusted for years and it was a good price.

The phone actually looks better in the picture and I have to say if I had seen it in a shop I probably would not have bought it. The handset is small, possibly a little too small.

The charging station has to be plugged in to the mains 24/7 to allow the phone to work. This is unusual as other phones I have had with a plug in base station this was not the case.

The handset does have a reasonable range for walking around the house with it but take it outside to the garden and reception is lost very easily. Although this could be more due to the number of walls the signal has to get through.

The battery life is good and it lasts around 4 days on stand by so you don't need to keep it on the base station all the time. Leaving it on the base station is actually the worst thing you can do as it actually damages the batteries.

The ring tone can be set from the 8 preset tones and the volume of the ring and ear piece can be adjusted. The built in caller ID can be set and the phone stores the numbers of any missed calls even if they don't leave a message on the answer phone.

In all it isn't a bad phone - it does the job it is meant to, I just wish the handset had been that bit bigger.

Very very bad, you make think your getting a good deal but the quality is absolutly shocking you can barely hear the person your calling. Definatly do NOT buy

I bought this to replace a panasonic hands free phone (the buttons were no longer working effectively). The reception is very much less clear than I had hoped. I also now realise that I miss the 'hands free' option from my old phone too as this is useful when waiting for call centre staff to pick up the phone.

For the price this is an excellent telephone and answering machine. Quite small and compact. Has alot more features than I expected. Simple easy to see and use buttons. Cant fault the delivery service.
