 badly let down by both product and seller (RJ Mobile), 2009-07-21
I read the great reviews before buying this product but it broke down in 6 weeks after purchase that too with light use (about 3 texts and about 3-4 calls a day). To add to the misery the seller, RJ Mobile, has refused to refund or repair the item even though it has broken down within 12 months of purchase and does not want to hear about it. The battery seemed a bit erratic at times about how long it would last without a recharge.
I would steer well clear of both this item and the seller RJ mobile next time. Both are unreliable. What a miserable combination!

Was looking for a very simple phone which was SIM free to replace a similar Nokia phone that my wife ad. This did the job just fine. It needed to have Bluetooth so she could sync with her laptop and the hands free kit in the car. It does all of this without any issues ;-)

This is a small, lightweight simple phone which is just what I wanted. It's easy to use and isn't crowded with loads of extra features that aren't any use. It does everything that I need it to. The response time is a little slow when you're doing things like locking the keypad or opening certain functions, but that isn't a big deal.
Great Value for Money, 2009-07-14
This is a very small, thin and light phone which has all the functionality most of us need. It will fit in any sized pocket / purse. The screen is very bright and easy to read - the ring tones are polyphonic and can be set very loud if needed; vibrating is pronounced and the earpiece has an undocumented volume control by pressing right or left key to increase or decrease (This is not in the manual!). It synchronises beautifully using Nokia PC Suite (free download from Nokia site) with Outlook, Outlook Express etc using bluetooth - don't by a USB cable it isn't necessary unless you don't have Bluetooth on your laptop / PC. It will work with any Bluetooth headset in the car. It will do email if you want it to, it has an FM radio aboard and has a camera with a zoom lens.
I bought it unlocked (SIM Free)as per this page from Amazon and run it on a free (47p) Asda SIM (Vodaphone provides the carrier) which is the market leader at present in PAYG pricing (8p per minute calls, 4p text, non-expiring top-ups, 20p per minute any phone any overseas country). I have a Blackberry as well which costs a fortune to run but I prefer this! It just needs a screen protector from EBay (ooops - perhaps I shouldn't say that!). As the previous reviewer confirms if you just want to make and receive calls without a load of glitzy enhancements this is what you need - and its Nokia so everything supports it!
Very happy with the phone, 2010-01-20
Lightweight and small, but still easy to use. A good basic phone. I am new to Nokia (always had Motorola before) so there were a few new things to learn, but overall it was easy to pick up.
My only disappointment is that it doesn't beep to remind me if I've missed picking up a text or phone call as my previous phone used to do. (I've searched everywhere and can't find a setting for this on the phone).
The description of the phone said 'black' but when it arrived it was blue!!
