Texting isn't Easy, But Quality is pretty good., 2008-10-26 I bought this as a spare to take on trips. For such an inexpensive phone, the design and price are surprisingly very good. Making and receiving calls is straightforward. My only complaint is the screen is too small/type to big to make texting practical. it scrolls ever 2 words and usually breaks mid word so it looks like pig latin or klingon.
good choice for a spare in case you have a friend of family member visiting from north america as yanks/canadians rarely text anyway. on the other hand, anyone looking to do a lot of texting to save money is better off getting a nokia.
Poor battery, poor text, 2008-12-17 I bought two of these phones as spares and for using when abroad. I also bought a spare battery and charger. The attraction was that the standby life was stated to be better than two weeks. Well I have charged them correctly, and tried the different batteries. The actual standby is about 4 days without any use what so ever. The text on these is unusable, though I did know that before buying. They are cheap, but not cheap enough. Regret buying.
