 A good experience, 2010-02-19
Panasonic KX-TG8424EB Colour DECT Quad Telephone with Answer Machine - Black Before ordering the telephone I read the reviews. The experience of one purchaser was that the contact with the base station, all over the three story house was poor, and gave the system a very low rating. As I too have a three story house and, even worse, I have electric ceiling heating on each floor to act as a potential barrier, I was preparing myself for a quick 'return to sender'. The system arrived on 17/02/10 and I installed it on the 18th without any difficulty. I installed the base unit on the ground floor and the others throughout the house, including one as far away from the base unit as you could possibly get. The result: no issues whatsoever. A very different experience from my wireless broadband connection.
Stylish and reliable, 2009-10-20
I've had these Panasonics for about nine months now and they've proved reliable and functional. They replaced a quad set of BT Synergy 4500 and beat them in nearly every respect - especially battery life! When fully charged one of these Panasonic handsets will hold a charge for well over a week if left off the charger and not used.
They have a good range from the base station and I can easily use them from my neighbours' should I need too! A full colour display and choice of wallpapers make the handsets appear more like mobile phones than a landline. Easy to use, the handsets are already factory associated with the base station - no set up required. You can choose which information is displayed, handset number etc, and once your directory is entered into one handset it can easily be sent to the others.
From new the handsets need an overnight charge, then it's just a matter of plugging the base station into the phone line and you're away. You can leave the default pre-recorded message or record your own to suit. Very intuitive to use the handset menu is partly icon based for clarity and very easy to navigate. Stylish and logically designed the Panasonic KX-TG8324 is highly recommended, although an updated version (KX-TG8424) is now available and may be worth checking out. Both models are also available with fewer handsets - the last digit of the model number signifies number of handsets. Additionally, a maximum of six handsets can be assigned to each base station for even more flexibility.
 Good Phones, 2009-10-20
I got these phones to replace a similar model which was no longer available.They are good but do not have a voice identifier which I really miss. By this I mean that when the phone rings, a recorded voice (which I put in) identifies the caller. This means we know who the call is for and the relevant person can answer the phone - very handy feature! So I was sorry these phones did not have this feature although Panasonic told me they had all same features as last one. our house is an old one and there are areas in it where reception on phones is not great. However, overall they are excellent phones.

So far so good. I have been very pleased with the quad set of Panasonic phones that I purchased. They replaced a set of BT cordless phones that I had had nothing but trouble with. These have good sound quality, the answerphone is clear and the menues are easy to use. The only down side to them is the phonebook. I couldn't copy from a SIM so I had to put in each number by hand which took ages. Also the previous BT set automatically copied any new entries to the other hand sets; with the panasonic you have to tell it to copy to each of the other hand sets one at a time. Apart from that I think they were a good purchase.
