Does what it supposed to., 2009-09-14 I bought this Brother refurbished fax printer as it has network capability and had a fax at a really competitive price.
The network set up was really easy and worked on every PC in the house.
The scanner works very well and provides network scanning which I hadn't expected. The document feeder makes scanning documents easier than having to open the scanner top for ecah page.
The printer quality is good and the replacement inks are very reasonably priced.

This all-in-one printer from Brother, is all you need to complete your office tasks, plus extras. Easy to install and set up with fantastic features, I would recommend this machine to anyone. A bonus with this ma
chine is that it has a pic bridge facility, so that your photos can be printed without using a computer. Also it has a network facility to complete its capability. I think you will find that this machine is truly value for money.

Not the fastest but cheap ink :), 2009-10-19 If, like me, you are used to HP printers, you might find the print speed of this a bit slow. That said, the auto document feeder is a real boon when you have more than one page to scan or copy and a real time-saver in it's own right. I needed an all-in-one printer, scanner, copier with fax facility and was drawn to this based on price, the other reviews and the cost of the ink.
I was a bit suspicious that the ink might only last a short while, but not so, after a month of normal printing and 10 full sets of course notes, I'm still on the original Brother cartridges :) As an added bonus, the seller I bought from also included 3 full sets of compatible cartridges free.
On the down side, I still can't work out how to change the default settings for the printer {scan, copy and fax are easily done} and after a fruitless search through the full manual, I've now concluded this is not possible. This is a bit of an issue for me on multi page printing jobs where I have to remember to select "Reverse Print Order" each time to make sure Page 1 is on top. Other than that, I'd have given it 5 star. If you don't print masses of pages, or your memory is better than mine, this might be less of a problem.
Knowing what I know now after around 1 month of use, would I still buy it? Yes, I probably would.
The best home printer I have ever had!, 2008-11-13 I work at home and have struggled with printers in the past but this one really works for me. I can only go on my own experiences but this does it all.
I do a little bit of design and because of that I have high standards and as this faxes, prints, scans and copies all in colour; it has saved on the little trips to the local printers. I am yet to have a problem with it. It comes with loads of additional features that I haven't really gotten round to using yet but the more gadgets the better in my opinion.
