 An excellent out of the box wired VoIP solution, 2010-02-27
My headset arrived a couple of days ago, following Amazon.co.uk's usual swift service. I've just used it in a conference call on my Windows7 Dell desktop PC for the first time. I downloaded Skype, logged on, plugged in the headset (its plug & play and no drivers are provided), so I had VoIP within 5 minutes. I wore the headset for 1.5 hours with no discomfort. I've got a big head, but the headset fitted fine, as it can easily be adjusted on both sides. The microphone can be rotated to the left or the right of the mouth, as there's no defined left or right ear markings. The headset cable has volume and mute buttons containing a lapel clip. The call quality was good (I was told) and I could hear the other 3 users through both ears with no issues. The cable was sufficiently long for me to stand up during the call, even though my PC tower case is located on the floor. There was even a voucher in the box for 1 Euro of Skype credit (offer expires 31st December 2011). For an out of the box VoIP wired headset that can be used out of the box I can't fault it; although I'd use the Skype App on my iPhone for individual calls around the house.

Great headset, skype recommended. Only issues: human stupidity - didnt turn on mic button and spent ages trying to figure out why mic was broken! Second issue is genuine - the headset is a little tight. Otherwise excellent product.
Very good headphones for VOIP, 2010-02-03
I bought a more expensive set of headphones and returned them and bought these which were recommended by Skype. They are very clear - much clearer for VOIP than two more expensive ones I compared to this. Plantronics customer service were very helpful and answered some technical questions very fully when I was researching buying these. They recommended I would be better off with one of their more expensive models because I wanted such quality, but that I might not wish to spend more - I decided on this unit and found it is as good as I need. It comes with optional attachments - to a USB or ordinary headphone port on computer or music equipment. Their customer services gave me some straight answers about which connection to my laptop would give me best clarity of voice via VOIP. (USB best for most) Very useful advice as have had confusing advice before. Headphone is not A1 comfortable but if you like a light weight headphone and do not mind it being a trifle tight on ears (maybe you can adapt this) you'll not do better for VOIP even paying a lot more. Also, the headband does not compress my hair - useful for girls!!

I bought this product after seeing user's reviews.
No doubt this headset has turned out to be amazing. I use it most of the time, mostly for chat over skype as well as for listening to music & over this time, iv'e never gone across a single problem with this device.
This headset provides excellent clarity for voice and while listening to music, offers a great amount of bass.
All in all, a perfect value for money.

This product is cheap but works beautifully. if you have a mac like me
you have to input via USB connection. Definately a winner
