 Well, The Answer Machine Is Good!!, 2010-07-11
Whilst the charging unit and telephone look sleek and the answer machine is sufficiently functional, the phone's performance is less than perfect. The phone volume, as has been stated in other reviews, is limited and the variety of ring-tones is distinctly poor given the technology available these days.
The dialling is my principal disappointment. If you put the receiver in loudspeaker mode and dial the number you require, you will hear the ancient analogue dialling 'clicks' of phones from thirty years ago; you can still hear this when using the handset in normal mode but the previously-mentioned volume issue makes it less easy to discern! It makes me wonder whether this phone really does have a Dect capability.
I would not buy this unit/model again and would not recommend it; I suspect that mine will be replaced quite soon.

This phone is excellent, eveything about it is perfect for us. The ringing volume is great, it's easy to set up, record an answer phone message and add no.s to the phone book for caller id. Plus it looks great. The only let down is the choice of ring tones to choose from. Def recommend!!!

Purchased for home office and does the job perfectly. I have connected it to a orange livebox which provides call over IP. Every other phone has been quiet on this line so was reluctant to read some review about this phone being quiet. This is by far the best quality call for clarity and loudness I have experienced on the line. Answerphone is easy to set up.
Small / Home office users will find this a great phone for the price.

Has a solid feel about it. Instructions a little unclear on some aspects. Cordless range good. Sound quality good. But those ringtone options are awful.

purchased the BT verve 450 dect cordless phone because i hate cabled phone and its been well worth the price so far. crystal clear speakers and microphone. would recommend to my friends because it is a very good product.
