Product Description
Telephone - series 302 black. The iconic type 302 phone was designed by the prolific industrial designer Henry Dreyfuss and introduced in 1937. He used ear to mouth measurements from 2000 people to create the egonomic handset. The first to incorporate the bell in the base of the unit, the phone was originally cast in metal. This piece was later produced using a heavy-duty plastic housing. Its appearance, combined with a rugged construction, earned it the nickname "The Cow's Hoof" because of its lipped hoof-style base. This early desk version served as the standard for the better part of World War II while telephone design efforts were halted due to defense work. Features: Push button dialing, Redial button, Ringer volume on/off switch, earpiece volume control, simply plugs into a standard UK phone socket

Looks nice, quality is good and nice old ring tone. Detail is a bit lacking but otherwise good.

The item I received was not the picture advertised on the product page. It was a cheap, inferior rip-off and felt like a toy plastic phone. I didn't even bother plugging it in, sent it right back.

Had read previous reviews and ordered product as a gift. Very disappointed when it arrived. Phone looked cheap and tacky. Have since noted that another purchaser in June was equally disappointed. Did not return item as seller's return poicy is not, in my opinion, very customer friendly. Probably Freecycle it or put it into a charity shop. Would not use this seller again.

As with other recent reviewers, I received an entirely different phone to that which is advertised. Rather than the pleasing white buttons, mechanical bell and solid quality referred to in the earlier models, I actually received a flimsy, electronic sounding, toy weight phone. Hugely disappointed and a bit cross about the misrepresentation.
