Outstanding Value for its Price Range, 2008-07-26 If you are looking for a simple cordless phone without too many whistles and bells, this one is ideal. Added to SuperSaver Value, it is really unmissable. So many people are attracted to all the glitzy extras, but when it comes down to it, they just use it as a phone. I never bother exploring all those options... life is too short!
Regarding the point about the ring tones made by the previous reviewer, I felt that too, until my son showed me that you have a choice of 20, and the volume can be turned down.
I admit, they do tend to be a little strident, but look you have DECT Digital Cordless Electronic Transmission, and even carriage costs included in the deal... £20.99 to have all this thrown in is one of the best deals I've had this year.
Don't buy this, 2008-08-26 The signal drops within 10 meters. The ringtunes are very annoying. I know now, why it's available for less than £20.
a very smart looking product , 2008-12-24 a nice looking phone at a reasonable price , i only have one comment to make about it ,and it doesn't appear to have a loudspeaker ajustment, that i have had with previous phones, and as i am a little deaf i think this is very important , after all my previous phone was 8 years old , and i did not even question the fact that the much later hands free version would not be included , so for slightly deaf [people i dont reccomend it , o.k. for normal hearing people .
Cheap but not very cheerful, 2008-12-10 A basic phone that works well enough, although the earpiece volume isn't very loud. It's major failing is the phone book which cannot be accessed other than by scrolling through the entries, which are shown in the order in which they were entered. It's frankly quicker to look up a number in your diary and dial it. The menu system is a bit obscure too. Handset battery life and reception range are both quite good. But overall I'd suggest paying a bit more for a better featured phone.
Functional phone, 2008-11-19 I have used this phone for a while now and quite like it. It grips nicely in the hand and the brightness on the screen is more than adequate. Going round the menu is no easy matter though. The instruction booklet is not the best written I have seen and setting it up the way you like it is initially quite a job. My last phone had a nice ring ring sound unlike this which only allows annoying electronic tones which grates even if you turn down the volume. Come on Panasonic. Give us a few more gnetlemanly options on sound! The other annoyance is that, as far as I can work out, phone number entries are listed in the order you put them in and not in alphabetical order which would have made life a lot easier. These are simple things and should be looked at even if the phone is reasonably priced. Surely correcting these would not incur extra cost to Panasonic. Overall, at the price, it is worth a buy but don't expect an all singing, all dancing bit of kit.
