i purchased this phone, why you may wonder, well i has a panasonic t.v. and its fantastic so thought i would give the phones a go....i am so glad i did, its the best phone i have ever owned, its so clear to use and lights up so you can see what you are doing, large buttons, (being over 60 both these functions you need)..clarity of sound, great, i know some people have said well its only a phone, but i do LOVE this phone, it covers everything one would need, even got wallpapers and tones to choose from, so fun as well, what more can i say, so dont hesitate buying this phone it really is great........

This phone is plastic but feels fairly solid, it's not a small phone but that's no bad thing as it feels comfortable in your hand and the buttons are large and easy to dial with. The screen isn't a flash affair with bright colours and animations - it's nice and simple and does the job well.

I use this phone a lot for conference calls and my main requirement was for it to have a clear handsfree feature and capture my input well. It does this brilliantly and when I'm sat with the phone off of the base I can switch the handset to loudspeaker and back to `normal' at the touch of a button. When on loudspeaker the sound quality is excellent and the fidelity is the best I've experienced with a cordless phone, I can speak without shouting and I can be heard perfectly clearly. Perhaps most impressive is the battery life, I often attend calls which are several hours in length and even after a 4 hour call there is plenty of battery left on the handset.

Numbers can be stored so you can scroll through contacts, they can't be copied from a mobile phone SIM Card as many higher spec phones can, but that's not something I'd expect from this model. The contact names are limited to only 8 characters so long names will have to be shortened, they are easy to read on the large screen.

The answer machine functionality is now slightly defunct with exchange based voicemail services free from most domestic phone providers these days, but for those who like a visual reminder, the answerphone displays the number of new messages and when playing them back it details the time and date.

In a nutshell: Although this may lack a lot of the features of more expensive models, it's a good all-rounder and perfect for those who aren't bothered about polyphonic ringtones and text messaging! The large screen, big buttons, and excellent volume (both calls and ringer) make this a great phone for the family home and suitable for those with limited vision.

Great set of phones - just what I was looking for! Easy to key in or save received numbers to phonebook and copy to all other phones - can copy whole phonebook or just a single number - love the fact that you don't have to key numbers into all phones. Redial list gives last 10 numbers - great idea! The handset has fairly large buttons so is easier for those who have dexterity problems; the display is backlit and the numbers/words are slightly larger than normal so a good aid for visually impaired. Variety of ringtones and good sound quality - you can increase the volume. Another useful feature is an alarm - can be set for a day or constantly - there are 3 alarms which can be set for different times - useful if you like a wee snooze after first alarm starts up! I don't use answering machine so cannot comment on that. There is also the facility to receive and send (only with BT) text messages - haven't used this yet but may do if mobile gives up on me. One downside (and it's a minor one) is that you cannot name the handset - you can only give a number - it's a bit hit-and-miss if you are using the phones to call internally - you never know who has what phone and where it is! My husband has discovered that you can listen in (and contribute) on another handset during calls - a bit annoying when he doesn't hang up! Phones are fairly light and speakerphone is a useful feature if your hands get sore holding it for long periods. You can use a headset with all 4 phones - quite useful if you know you are going to be on for a while and frees both hands if you need to write info down or check online during call - just like the call centre you are probably phoning! For the price this is an excellent telephone and answering machine. Quite small and compact. Has alot more features than I expected. Simple easy to see and use buttons. Cant fault the delivery service.

Nice phone in every way, 2010-08-16
This is a great little phone. The answering machine is very tiny and the handsets feel solid. Installation is simple for multiple handsets - you just place a new handset on the base station and it registers in a few minutes. You can enter new numbers on one handset and transmit them to the others very simply. The ring tones are nice and the voice is extremely clear. I wall mounted mine and one very minor criticism is that the cables are black which looks shoddy dangling down the wall - but I'll get some white trunking to get over that. All in all I highly recommend this phone in every way.

purchased the BT verve 450 dect cordless phone because i hate cabled phone and its been well worth the price so far. crystal clear speakers and microphone. would recommend to my friends because it is a very good product.

It's easy to set up...it's easy to select a ring tone & add all your contact numbers & you can send them from one handset to another. The buttons are a good size, not too fiddley....soooo....What's not to like?

Clear and trouble free, 2010-09-03
Excellent sound clarity and no problems in the 5 months I've had these. Previously had BT Synergy which had bad interference and very poor batteries with the phones starting to cut out on pick up after only a few months. After those these were a breath of fresh air.

Excellent cordless phones - clear screen and good quality listening. Having previously purchased a base + 1 set, I decided to add to this by buying a base + 2 pack, thus 5 handsets in total for different parts of the house.

One piece of advice - when logging the second set of phones onto the first base unit, one must press and hold the base unit "find" button in order to achieve a satisfactory registration. This isn't noted in the instruction sheets.
