Bullet proof phone, 2010-07-25
I have my 6310i since 2002 and it has NEVER failed me. It is a tri-band device so will work in all parts of the world (this was my main reason for getting one - to use in the USA). Like others have said before me, the battery lasts well over a week and it does everything a phone should do - voice & text. Anything more is just a waste of my money.

Furthermore, it is extremely robust - it takes knocks and drops in its stride. This phone used to be "state of the art" back then, and is still clearly loved by many - as the price on Amazon demonstrates.

A Cheap But Good Quality Phone, 2010-03-01
I bought this phone for my 14 year old son who wanted something functional but at a price that he wouldn't have to worry if it got stolen. He loves it. I would definitely buy another.

Very good phone with a few hitches., 2009-10-11
The phone looks really cool and feel good in the hand. It's well designed and so far (I've had it a month) it works very well.

The pros are:
- The sound quality in conversation is good
- The menu layout ect. is wel designed
- The camera is excellent and really handy to have
- The walkman is brilliant and doesn't affect the battery although at top volume the sound quality is lost
- The accessories are really good, an attachable speaker that clarifies the sound at top value
- 8GB memory card as standard

The cons:
- Really ugly, fussy designs for the display themes
- I had a problem with signal and losing conversations but Orange told me to swith off 3G in the mobile networks section and switching to standard GSM mode
- The software provided with this is a little complicated and took up to much space on my old laptop
- The battery doesn't last long (3 days) but takes a short time to fully charge (1 hour)

To be honest I've always had Nokias and when I'm finished with this I'll go back to Nokia since this is a little style over substance. For me it's aimed at a younger (16-20) market. I use my phone largely for business and this I think is a phone made more for fun than for purpose. Slightly style and features over function and phone calls but on the whole, if you're not an old fuddy duddy like me, this might be for you.

Fantastic value, 2010-07-14
This replaced my LG Viewty. My main concern for this was the keypad, I was sure I didn't want a touchscreen but would this be difficult to use? Well, at first it was strange but within a few days I could type on it easily and I would never go back to touchscreen or the 9 button keypad.

The camera is fine, my old one was 5mp and I did use it alot. However, although this has only 2mp because the screen is so clear and the camera itself is good quality I can't honestly see much difference.

There is a light (which I have used way more than I expected!) which can be accessed by holding down the space bar button.
The speaker on the music player is great, again better than my old one, although if you are going to hold a lot of songs/texts you will be needing a memory card!

Great phone and super happy :)

Good but not perfect, 2010-08-31
I bought the lg kp500 cookie phone for my wife ,both of us tried it to see if it was any good and we both agreed it has it's good and bad points. The only two critisms are the pen you get with it ,it's very small and practically useless as it hurts your fingers after a while if you use it too much (using a nintendo ds pen on the phone is better as it's easier to hold) and the backlight goes off for fun ,the screen goes blank and you can't access the keypad because it's automatically locked (topping up the phone on o2 when it goes blank and locks is the most annoying when it's time to key in the voucher number).

The phone does have some good sides such as the screen which is crystal clear ,the camera which has 3.0 mega pixels for taking great pictures ,the radio is excellent and other things like the 3 games on it ,they arn't too bad but ull probably want to download your own. Pros: I have been waiting for a mobile which displays the capabilites I am looking for in a phone apart from obvious (e.g., voice call and text) - i.e., fast web browser (Maemo 5), ability to open, read & write word, excel and pdf files, play music and videos and open & view various applications simultaneously. The copy and paste facility from computer to phone via CA-101 Micro USB Datacable is excellent. This fulfils all of the criteria I have listed and is a fully functional phone with an adequate camera.

Cons: Minor drawbacks that I have found:- the ease of transfer of files via bluetooth is not simple and there is no facility as far as I am aware of sending calender entries via text message. The mobile is also not fully compatible with Nokia PC Suite - I am sure that this is under review! Also, the battery may need reviewing i.e., in terms of overall consumption when the phone applications are in constant use.

In summary, I would highly recommend the N900 as I have not experienced a phone which performs to this level.

Not so great, 2010-02-07
I got this less than two months ago and have had many problems with it. It turns off all the time which is sooooo annoying. Mainly if you slide the keyboard in too fast. The back is also really flimsy and the screen is easily scratched. Overall this is a rubbish phone and the only good thing it is for is for texting :) happy buying :)

good seller, came quickly. love this phone [my 3rd now!! lost one, drowned one!!] ok so it doesnt do what the latest mobiles do, but is a decent, flip phone. Got mine in blue and its lovely. It fits neatly in the pocket and has all the basics you need, camera, internet etc. suitable for youngsters, elderly and anyone that likes a mobile thats easy to use. cant fault it. would i buy again.....you betcha i would!!!!

This is my second V3, although they are as tough as anything, after 3 years even I eventually managed to break one. I got another as quickly as possible.

If you're wanting games and movies music etc forget it, this phone is not for you (but that's why we have iPods). If what you want is a simple bomb proof phone that *just works* plus is thin, light, elegant, where you can actually use the keys with normal size fingers and lasts forever on a charge then this has to be the one for you.

It isn't the 'look at me' lifestyle accessory to change your life... but it is a damn good phone.
