I needed a mobile that was strong, functional and with useful functions without all the added nuisance of applications left, right and centre.

I'm a sports specialist in a school and due to the nature of the job, need a sturdy, reliable phone that is well protected and does what I need it to. It has a loud ring, stopwatch (which I have used as backup when mine went on the blink) and is happy being thrown around in the side of a kit-bag or training jacket pocket whilst working/coaching away from site.

It's clear speaker and decent mic makes talking not a problem, (I'll admit it's not the loudest on the market, but it's not the quietest either) and whereas it's not seen as 'cool' by my students, that also means they aren't constantly asking me to see/play with it like previous more fashionable phones like my old Motorola or colleague's iPhone.

The mini flashlight is handy and bright enough to see my way to the school minibus in an unlit car park in the middle of winter, and locating the lock through the mud splattered door in the shadows.

It took some time to get used to different key controls compared to my old phone, but these are small inconveniences. I'm not a big texter but can get by with the predictive text easily enough.

The material is very grippy,(rubberlike) and it doesn't slide about when I put it in the tray whilst driving, so I can keep an eye on it when traipsing around the country lanes in the bus.

I can charge this on Monday, and it's still good by Friday afternoon if I don't use it much, otherwise, on a busy week I can get 3-4 days from one charge, and it charges in just a few hours.

If you want a simple, tough phone for the price, this is definitely one to pick up and try down at your local Carphone Warehouse etc, before getting it cheaper on Amazon!

This is my second V3, although they are as tough as anything, after 3 years even I eventually managed to break one. I got another as quickly as possible.

If you're wanting games and movies music etc forget it, this phone is not for you (but that's why we have iPods). If what you want is a simple bomb proof phone that *just works* plus is thin, light, elegant, where you can actually use the keys with normal size fingers and lasts forever on a charge then this has to be the one for you.

This phone hits all the right buttons for someone who, in our case, has always hated mobile phones.

The Binatone a straightforward mobile phone with text messaging option. Nothing else.

It's simple to set up and to use and is ideal if your fingers don't like little keypads, your eyesight's not what it used to be for small letters and numbers and you loathe anything vaguely techie.

It isn't particularly pretty, more retro. But it is brilliant as it fulfills a much needed gap in the mobile phone market.

Even better, you provide the SIM card. So you can choose which network is best for you.

The keypad lock is brilliant. Just a slider at the side.

After months of hesitating about the whole touch technology, i came to my decision of buying this. I'm very glad I did! The Tocco Lite is a smart touch screen phone that definitely deserves five stars. It's wonderful in every way. The touch response is brilliant, the battery life is amazing, the camera is actually good, and it has a really nice display and look to it. Thanks to the touch lock on the screen, i no longer have to worry about accidentally catching buttons or finding myself browsing the internet. I have absolutely no negative points to make about this phone, it's far by the best phone i've ever had, and i still haven't gotten fed up of it, which is unusual for me with phones.
10/10!

I bought this for my grandson and he is absolutely delighted with it.
We had a couple of minor issues - because the charger did not work and the iphone skin did not fit - but these were very quickly sorted out by JSM - who were a delight to deal with.

Fantastic Camera Phone, 2009-07-27
I got this phone as a replacement for a Sony Ericsson K850i which, went wrong 3 times so I would avoid that one like the plague and spend the extra few pounds and get a far more superior phone like this.

Since the K800i Sony have made the phone lighter, more user friendly and finally got rid of that stupid joystick that was always breaking! First off is the 5 Megapixel camera which, produces some absolutely fantastic pictures, the camera is so easy to use simply pop the top open and you can start snapping away. All functions are either touchscreen or you can access them via the keypad don't worry if you have big fingers like me the touchscreen is very accurate and you won't be touching two buttons at once. If you don't get a memory card with this phone it is able to take 90 pictures with just the internal memory alone, a 1GB card will give you a few hundred photos which, should be fine. The only issue with this otherwise beautifully designed camera phone is the lack of the Xenon flash like its predecessors which, unfortunately does effect picture quality when taking pictures at night or around dusk.

The other functions and menus are very self explanatory and easy to get on with, although the key pad seems small at first it is fine for people with big fingers. The size of the phone is astonishing compared to its little brothers the K850i and the K800i, it is literally have the thickness of the K850i making it a lot more portable, although it is slim it makes up for it in breath so you won't feel like your going to loose it. The battery life is good compared to the C905 it last roughly 3 to 4 days compared to 3 days max with the C905.

This is my 4th Sony Ericsson Camera phone and I have to say that this is by far the best one (I currently own the C905 8 megapixel camera and prefer the C902.) Its ergonomic, reliable, easy to use, durable and above all has a top quality camera even if it does lack a half decent flash.
