Decent cable for the money, 2009-08-20
I was gonna buy from cableworld but i decided i would check amazon and ended up getting this, its longer than the 15m one on cableworld and cheaper too so i went for it. It does the job well, its not super rugged or anything just a basic cable but it allows me to move the router out from under my bed to the top of a bookshelf, im getting a much better wireless signal now.

Well, the old cables are consigned to other duties.
"Yea, right...", said I, but bought anyway. This Belkin product comprises 9m of two solid insulated copper strips. The old wires weren't bad, but try this!
The supplied pack is ready to go for a pair of speakers - four each of red and black pins. It's not difficult to trim, as the metal is thin enough to cut with a sharp pair of scissors or wire snips, and the terminal pins fit well. You will need a tiny (1mm) Allen key to work the grub screws that fasten the pins to the end of the strips, or resort to ingenuity. Once again, the trusty Belkin computer tool kit came to the rescue with the necessary (and, no, I don't work for them!) One of the pins had a dodgy thread, but doubling the cable over gave enough thickness to make it work.
Have to say, I was sceptical, but with music the improvement in mid-range frequency response is noticeable, although bass and top-end frequencies don't seem to get such a boost. Performance is especially crisp and clear with film DVDs. Channel separation seems better because of the sharper sound.
Well worth it, and a great price. Should have done it ages ago.
