 Very poor phones, 2006-03-19
The earpiece of 1 handset did not work at all. The sound quality of the other handsets was poor, and the answerphone itself was so poor I couldn't even recognise the voices of the people leaving messages. The displays are very difficult to read. No base station memory, and every handset has to have the memory input separately. Tried phoning Phillips on the number provided with the phone, but their response was "take it up with the supplier". I have! The only item I have ever bought from Amazon to be sent back.

not good, 2009-03-27
i bought this for our main phone- the buttons are too small, as is the handset. too hard to hear and controls are fiddly. when you go to delete you can easily mess it all up- skip it

The phone itself is pretty good: clear sound, good range of ring tones and easy phone book. The big disappointment is the answering machine. The quality of recorded messages is very poor to the point of often being inaudible. And if you play your messages back but leave them in the storage, old messages are not played back along with new ones next time you play. After being used to my old phone, I had come to rely on all my messages -- new and old, with new ones first -- being played back each time I pressed Play. It's very easy to forget old messages with this model. I suspect other Panasonics might have the same design fault, so check carefully.
