 Best Cordless Phone We've Had, 2010-06-28
We've had these phones for 3 years now. They've been dropped, chewed and splashed but they're still going strong.
The speaker is excellent - allowing children to more easily use them - eg to grandparents.
Good battery life - normally a day or so, which isn't bad after all this time - having never "exercised" the battery.
They look great in white and after all this time they still look pretty new.

These phones are made in Germany but come with an English instruction manual: which is very informative and easy to understand. There are 15 ring tones built in as standard. The clarity of sound is excellent: both via the answerphone and speaker and earphone system. The keys have a nice feel to them - they feel as if they have real springs behind them; also, they light up when the phone is in use - a nice orange colour. The duo set can be used as an internal intercom between the two handsets; also, the base station can be used to 'page' other phones. That facility allows one to discover where on has left a handset - it rings when the paging button is pushed. One of the most important things for me is that the phones have an 'eco' mode: the transmitting power can be reduced while the phones are on standby and when in use. The trade off is that the transmitting range is reduced of course. However, that is not necessarily a bad thing because the claimed normal range is: 50m indoors, 300m outdoors. One can also send sms; the alarm feature is nice too. The answerphone is capable of storing 25 minutes of incoming messages. The speakerphone has excellent clarity.
One small negative: there is an option to screw the units, bases, to the wall, but that would make them stick out quite a lot and would, I believe, make them likely to be accidentally knocked, causing the handsets to fall on the floor.
All in all, a great phone set: I hope that they last for many years.

very usefull, 2009-12-15
I was a bit sceptical at first, but after having had the TrueCall for a few weeks, we decided to get the memory card, which I now consider is a "must" the whole Unit is one of the best ideas to come out of the "Dragons Den", and it really does what it says it does, it stops unwanted calls, mind you it takes about 4-6 refusal's before the caller gets the message ! plus you can record conversations, which is another must, if you have any problems that you need to have proof of what was said.
I also find the after sales service and help line is second to none, very unusual in this day and age.
So not only do I highly recommend the "TrueCall" unit, I really do suggest you get the Memory card as well.

Whilst being very pretty and stylish, this phone is not up to scratch.
Problems:
1. Extremely unclear with some of hissing and distortion during calls.
2. Too quiet with only 3 volume levels.
4. Listening to messages requires 7 keystrokes on the handset and cannot be done from the base station.
5. Deleting messages takes another several keystrokes per message.
6. Answerphone records nothing but registers a message if the other party hangs up. (Then the 10 odd keystrokes above are required to delete.)
7. Something is wrong with the ground curcuit as when the LED displaying the number of messages is flashing, an extremely bad hissing is present on the line.
Give it a miss.
