Never be short of a phone outlet again!, 2008-04-24
A bit tongue in cheek, but what can you say about this. It's cheap and it works if you need to plug more than one phone into the same socket. Don't forget to note the 'REN number' of your phones as, if I remember correctly, a maximum total of 4 is allowed.

Like all cheap plasticky things it looks a little fragile if exposed to knocks, so don't expose it to knocks.

Excellent phone, 2010-08-15
I spent a long time researching a new cordless phone and decided to go with this one because it had all the features I needed and more. Some of the useful features I like most are:
1. You can make and receive calls on the base unit (if you want to answer a call quickly and can't find the handset for instance).
2. You can stick the sim card from your mobile phone in the base unit and copy all the phone numbers off your mobile into the address book.
3. It has a very easy to use screen menu on the handset.

All in all, it's the best phone I've ever had - I love it. Just bought the 'robust' spare handset to go with it (to take in the garden with me). BT Diverse 7200 Dect Cordless Additional Handset - Black

I hate having lots of phones around the house that all need to have their phone books updated individually. With this, you make a change to one and it makes the change on all of them. Not only phone numbers, but also other settings, such as the time and date. Each phone can be customised with its own wallpaper and ring tones (from the built in selection). I suppose it would have been nice to have a greater selection of wallpapers, but not such a significant downside to warrant dropping the rating.

Normally, the phone is dark, with a black screen and just the time displayed in large blue characters (not too bright that it would cause a problem in a darkened bedroom - its not as bright as a red LED alarm clock display, for example). Pick it up and the keypad illuminates orange and the wallpaper shows up behind the normal on-screen info.

There are lots of useful features. I haven't used the answerphone or set it up because I use BT's at the moment. All the menus are straightforward and intuitive and shouldn't cause anyone a problem.

The sound quality is great. It is crystal clear when you use it to make a call and I have noticed the quality of reception when you are on the other end and receive a call made from it is also better than average.

I have been looking for a phone that would give me shared facilities across 3 phones for a while. For me, this exceeds my expectations. Highly recommended.

Bought this so I can chat and work and it is brilliant. I have it paired with my Gigaset DECT phones and it works really well. It is a bit awkward if you want to use it on outgoing calls but not impossibly so, but on the incoming it is clear and very easy to use. The only negative is the over ear piece which I cannot get to work, I have to use the headband attachment which works well.

I have had many cordless telephones over the years - mainly BT and Philips - but they have never lasted more than 3 or 4 years before something went wrong. Purchased the duo handset 6 months ago and was so impressed with the quality, the functionality and design of it, I had no hesitation in buying the additional handset for use in another room when the old BT handset gave up the ghost Once I remembered what password I had set on the base, it was very easy to attach the new handset to the base. And transferring the phonebook from one handset to the others is so easy - even for someone who is not IT literate!

Although expensive, it is well worth the money.

Good phone for the price, 2010-04-09
I am pleased with the phone as I did not want to pay a lot for a bedroom phone and this just fits the bill nicely. There is only 1 fault with it, and that is, that the ring tone is not loud enough and if you were in a deep sleep, it would not wake you up. Otherwise, it is a good phone. The price tag makes it well worth while and a good purchase.

Be Fair with this Unique Product !, 2010-01-12
Having added two extra handsets & Repeater via Amazon To base station bought elsewhere, I think product is unique in it`s class. I had to Replace my Phone System after purchase of Tru-Call phone filter and chose this model.

I find the handset speakerphone to be one step louder than base outta the box so handsets are turned down, base is on Max !

Bearing in mind that components have to settle in and "come on Song " ( which can take 3-4 months )There is a way to increase the base station speakerphone volume in the meantime ! Replace the phone cable with a super fast designed for ADSL RJ11 to BT 4 way plug part No. TE0592 from CPC by Commtel. with gold contacts and OFC you initaly have to turn it down as you get feed-back on top volume but after a few days when the components have "accepted" it you can turn up base station volume again to much better affect ! Very few dect phones can operate in a power-cut as the base station can, So be patient and be a little more fairer with comments Guys !
