Ive wanted the phones for ages now after seeing them in JL. After much deliberation I took the plunge and made the purchase for the twin set from Amazon. Theyve just arrived and work and perform perfectly. We have replaced Panasonic phones for these and they work just as well if not better!! Highly recommend

This is a decent looking phone with the reassurance of being a BT product. Easy to setup and use although as mentioned before, the display isnt the easiest to read without bright lighting. It is slightly plasticky compared to older BT units but wireless range and signal are excellent, ring tone is disturbingly loud! only downside is that in my opinion, the audio clarity is not that great. All in all, at the price, this is a fantastic bargain.

Good phone, does all that it says on the box. Only against is that as soon as you pick the phone up when it rings, you are straight through to the person, there is no pressing a button to answer, which some might say is a good thing but I prefere to pick it up and then press to talk!! Thanks

loads of cheaper answer machines out there - all with user unfriendly aspects and not very reliable - this is our third in four years, and Amazon insist on reviews instantaneously - it would be more relevant to review it after a year...

like a car, you can't really tell how good it is until it has outlasted its guarantee...
but this one is looking good and Phillips are a reliable brand in my experience..

Be Fair with this Unique Product !, 2010-01-12
Having added two extra handsets & Repeater via Amazon To base station bought elsewhere, I think product is unique in it`s class. I had to Replace my Phone System after purchase of Tru-Call phone filter and chose this model.

I find the handset speakerphone to be one step louder than base outta the box so handsets are turned down, base is on Max !

Bearing in mind that components have to settle in and "come on Song " ( which can take 3-4 months )There is a way to increase the base station speakerphone volume in the meantime ! Replace the phone cable with a super fast designed for ADSL RJ11 to BT 4 way plug part No. TE0592 from CPC by Commtel. with gold contacts and OFC you initaly have to turn it down as you get feed-back on top volume but after a few days when the components have "accepted" it you can turn up base station volume again to much better affect ! Very few dect phones can operate in a power-cut as the base station can, So be patient and be a little more fairer with comments Guys !

Longer range gives better coverage in and around our house which has two foot thick stone walls.
Separate units for the transceiver and the charger allow the transceiver to be placed in the optimum position.

I already had two of these phones and wanted extra as i moved to a larger home. The price was excellent for four (which, incidently was the same i paid for the first two i purchased two years ago!). I love the look of these phones and contrary to a previous review, they can all by synchronised with the same contacts in one small action - so am very happy with them. As usual, purchasing through Amazon has always been a breeze, excellent service! ;-)
