The experience of one purchaser was that the contact with the base station, all over the three story house was poor, and gave the system a very low rating. As I too have a three story house and, even worse, I have electric ceiling heating on each floor to act as a potential barrier, I was preparing myself for a quick 'return to sender'. The system arrived on 17/02/10 and I installed it on the 18th without any difficulty. I installed the base unit on the ground floor and the others throughout the house, including one as far away from the base unit as you could possibly get. The result: no issues whatsoever. A very different experience from my wireless broadband connection.

Have just bought this phone. Really like the style as is very unusual but also functional. Read reports that it cant be hung on the wall (which is what i wanted to do) but this phone definitely CAN be hung on the wall. The base has a plastic widget in the centre that holds the phone - it just needs to be spun around (takes about 1/3 second and requires no tools - just your finger!). This "hooks" the phone when stood upright stopping it falling off the base.

I have owned two sets of these phones for a few months and am very impressed with their performance.

The telephones were very easy to set up, with the three units that came with the answer phone immediately responding to the base and needing no input from me. The additional handsets needed to be manually associated with the base unit, but this was very easy to achieve with the assistance of the instruction book.

The instruction book itself was not easy to interpret initially and I actually found that I could work out how to do things by trial and error using the phones and experimenting, which actually resulted in my being able to 'crack' the code to the instruction book itself. I think some things are easier to do by just getting used to the phone and discovering what menus are hidden beneath each key. An instruction book, whilst necessary, can make simple things appear to be more complicated than they are in reality. The phones are actually very simple to use.

I found compiling the directory of telephone numbers to be very straightforward, as was transferring the list of those numbers to the other units - much, much easier than I recall was the case with my previous phones. Once the initial charge is complete, the phones seem to last for an incredible amount of time before they need to be recharged, probably aided by the fact the screen blanks out when it is not in use, so there is no unnecessary drain on the power. The handsets emit what I would describe as an electronic purr when they need to be charged, which is a lot more pleasant than the annoying beeps that have seemed the norm with other brands of handsets that I have owned in the past. I also found the ringer tones to be very attractive and a nice change.

I have found the phones to be very reliable and am very pleased that I decided to purchase this particular set.

I purchased this phone and additional handset as a replacement for the BT set-up that I currently use. I particularly liked the facility of a phone that will work during power cuts without the bother of having to look in the cupboard and fine an old phone to plug in. This system also has a 'name and number' display facility that works with caller display so that you can see who is calling. My old system only showed the number. I have since added a further five handsets to the system to achieve house-wide coverage. This is important as I am disabled and cannot run to the phone every time it rings. The more I explore the facilities on this system, the more I like it!!!! I can truly recommend this system with an EXCELLENT rating.

Good: does what it says on the box - makes and receives calls, and does it well.
Bad: no text message facility, no speakerphone, display is pale, battery indicator goes down to 1 bar very fast then stays like this for days what makes it little useful, the handset can't be paired to other base station.

Only had a few weeks and so far very good , tried to put my mobile numbers in via sim but not very successfull but that could have been my fault.

Apart from above really like this phone it's a lot better than our old set, sound is clearer and a lot louder ,no problem using outside and the batteries last a long time.
Only reaso for 4 stars is the sim card problem
