Followed the instructions, with our panasonic phones, and found that this worked out of the box first time.
Does exactly what I needed it to, which may not be as much as some people need (turns intermittent reception in the garage at the bottom of the garden into crystal clear) so I cant fault it.

Last week, I bought two of these to extend an existing KG-TG7322 system ("22" indicates two handsets with answering machine in base unit).

Although both models are GAP compatible, the Panasonic info warns that some functionality may not be available. However I have found that all of the functionality seems to work between all phones, including the address book functions.

When not on a call, the display shows the current time in large clear numerals (8mm high).

The menu functions are similar to the KG-TG73xx, but with some differences that usually seem to result in fewer button presses on th newer handset.

Although the case of this model is black, it is mostly a matt finish (not the shiny "piano black" that so many items have now) and so does not easily pick up fingermarks.

Although this is supplied without a manual, the operating instructions can be found on the Panasonic web site by entering "KXTGA641" in the search box on the support > downloads page.

I bought this after reading all the reviews here. They don't lie. The phones themselves have a very nice feel, and are not too small. Installation is a breeze. The only point I will make is this: MAKE SURE YOU USE THE SUPPLIED RJ11 PHONE CABLE WITH THE PHONE! I emphasise this because its easy to overlook this, especially if you are replacing an existing phone. However, not all RJ11 cables are created equal, and if you use the one from your old phone you may find your new phone doesn't work. So don't be lazy, unplug the old cable and plug this one in instead.

Other than that, great phones that I recommend highly. The reviews are spot on.

i loved the look of this phone, it has a touch of Darth Vader about it.
I was even more impressed when it arrived, the photos don't do it justice. This is a smart, well made phone. The features are simple to use and the handset feels nice in the hand.
No problems with the sound and all the features you need for a good price. I am very happy with my purchase.
