this phone is an excellent piece of technology, but you need time to take in all the features. It is very good quality and works well. But I am very busy and haven't had the time yet to study every feature and shortcut. My son has one and recommended it to me, and anything he recommends is always good.

Best phone I ever had, 2010-01-22
The sound quality is brilliant, unlike my previous phone which I had to put on loudspeaker just to hear the person at the other end. There are more memories and more features than I am likely to need. You can leave it off the base for days and the batteries are still fine. But best of all it is extremely easy and intuitive to use, with simple menus and a clear and uncluttered screen. You can even get a ring tone that sounds like a proper telephone ring.

Having tried a number of cordless phones over the years with mixed results, the Panasonic KX-TG8421EB is a welcome change in terms of both style and quality.

It is lightweight but not flimsy with a solid positive feel to the keys. The font on the colour screen is reassuringly large and clear and the sound quality and standby/useage times excellent. Nor is there degredation in sound quality throughout the house or garden.

In all, cordless phones have come a long way and in this model, whereas in the past you had to choose between the two, Panasonic have found an excellent balance between looks and function.

I'm very happy with this one.
