Great little 'phone, 2009-06-30
Installation was easy, but you do need agile fingers to insert the wires in the base unit properly.
Setting up the unit to work with skype was just a case of following on screen instructions.
The telephone is clear in ordinary telephone mode. In skype mode it is very dependent upon the quality of your internet connection.
Only issue I had was when skype upgraded its product the 'phone stopped working on skype.A simple update,on the same day, from the philips website resolved the issue.

Great phone system, 2009-06-28
Purchased the Panasonic 8323 to replace a BT phone that had caused us problems for some time.
Very pleased with all aspects of the Panasonic.
The handsets are solid and attractive with a good quality colour screen with variable colours and backgrounds. As someone remarked, they do stay well lit when in the base unit which for some was a bit distracting at night if next to the bed. I haven't found this a problem.. just turn it away from you.
Good variety of ringtones with distinctive ones for each handset if you wish and good clear tone with adjustable volume. Able to be used as an intercom system and with satisfactory speaker facility. All handsets can be used for several people to join in an incoming call.
Set-up instructions clear to follow.
Happy to recommend.

Bought this phone from Amazon last week and it is miles better than our old phone. It is very stylish and easy to use as well as having lots of features such as text messaging, a really good answer phone and 200 number capacity. Amazon were also offering it at a very good price.

Best Phones Ever!, 2009-06-29
Absolutely wonderful. We had the Panasonic set from about 5 years ago - they have been amazing - aside from replacing the rechargable batteries once or twice they have seriously withstood the test of time. This time when we replaced the batteries, we decided to upgrade to this latest version, and are sooo pleased we did. These have a great write-up from Which, are very easy to use, and as the last set we had were still in great working order we've passed them on to family. I cannot speak highly enough of the Panasonic range of DECT cordless phones.

Purchased this phone after a 'trio' set of BT handsets stopped working! Well worth the money. Very sturdy, but stylish handset. Answermachine can be accessed from either handset. Very easy to install the 'phone book. Has capacity to send texts. Would recommend this as a good value, easy to use, but very functional handset.

Got this recently as I had to have the much needed answerphone feature. We already had an older Panasonic (Model KX-TCD755E) and were very happy with it. Excellent battery life, sturdy, reliable, loads of features is what I had become used to. The new phones have a similar pedigree although are much lighter, a bit more plasticky with cheap looking silver bits bolted on. I was willing to live with this as there are other redeeming features such as better buttons and clearer LCD colour screen. The firmware is more or less the same as the earlier model, which made it easier for me to set up. The SMS Text feature only works on BT Line. If you are connected to Virgin Cable - forget it. One major drawback though is the operation of the hands-free speakerphone. For some strange reason it is unable to be deactivated during a call. Once you turn it on - it's on until you hang up. It's a bit of an own goal on behalf of Panasonic as the speakerphone feature on the older models were switchable during calls. I often use hands-free when I'm put in a caller queue as it allows me to make a cuppa while waiting. In the past I would run in and revert to normal use once the Musak stopped and a real person came on the line. I now have to adopt one of those Apprentice poses and clearly enunciate my vowels!

Impressed, 2009-06-24
This is my first journey into internet phones/skype.
I have just unpacked it and got it working in 30 minutes with great results. The best thing is that I live in Brunei a "developing country" My intrenet speed is similar the UK in 1998 (wheb I left)
The ease of setting up for someone like me (a Grandad!) was a relief. The effectiveness (Saving us Money!) and the versatility is impressive.
I am glad i have bought it.

We found this product excellent. Large buttons, batteries that last the whole conversation even up to one hour, whereas our last ones would die after 1/2 hour. I would definately recomend these.

Good alternative to a BT phone, 2009-06-11
Searched around for ages for a twin phone at a reasonable price and this set kept coming up trumps!

Good points: -

The phones are stylish and look expensive.

The reception on both phones is very good (1 in the lounge and 1 in the bedroom, even if someone is using the internet or microwave, which usually causes some interferance)

You can copy the phonebook from one phone to the other.

Sound clarity is good and clear.

Bad points: -

Poor choice of ring tones.

You can't turn off the display on a night when it's in the cradle, so you have to take it out for the display to turn off. Keeps me awake at night as it's quite bright!

Notes: -

You can turn on the speaker phone and turn it off when on a call. You press the speaker phone button to turn the speaker phone on and then when you want to turn it off your press the green talk button to talk normally!!!

A very good phone for the price and highly recommended.
