Excellent product.
I didn't had any sound or connection quality problems at all.
Very easy to set up, no wiring is required between mater and slave unit, power+comms wiring to master unit and power to the slave unit. Communications between units are done wirelessly, which is excellent.
Answering machine is very useful to pick up messages when i'm not at home.
Handset is really sleek looking, and new batteries are sufficient for all my endless calls.
Recommend this product.

iDect X1 Twin Digital Cordless Telephone - Silver

I nearly didn't buy these as there were on 2 reviews on Amazon which slated them but they had excellent reviews on several other sites. I'm sure the poor reviews were honest and based on those peoples experience but I took a risk & had a far better experience.

These phones look very stylish and I've found the audio quality excellent in all areas of the house. The buttons on the handsets are very small but are well spaced out so no problems in operating even with the largest of fingers. I would only say the buttons would be an issue for people with poor eyesight as the labels with the buttons are very small. Also the choice of ring tones and volumes is very limited but I wasn't expecting the choice that a mobile phone offers in this area.

In summary these are great looking phones which work really well and have good sound quality. Sure they are pretty basic in terms of features but for the price I would recommend them to anyone.

My cordless was not working. I looked everywhere for a replacement battery but could not find one. I bought these pair of batteries and voila'...problem solved. Since the replacement, they have done a perfect job.

Not bad fro the money, 2008-09-26
I bought these after returning a BT Dect cordless bought from an online highstreet retailer, which looked good, seemed cheap but performed like a pair of Action man walkie talkies.

Encased in a glossy white plastic with metallic trim and blue lcd backlight, these handsets look modern and are pleasing to the eye. In your hand this idect feels like your holding a phone as opposed to a weightwatchers slimline chocolate bar. That doesnt mean they are heavy at all though.

You dont need a university degree to use these as they are pretty simple to operate, however some literacy is useful as the manufacturers have a added a 4 page addendum to accompany the user manual!
Maybe someone at the factory forgot to proof read the manual before printing 20,000 of them??
They dont have AA or AAA standard batteries, but a square block type which may be expensive to replace in future.
I havent really tested the Answering machine so can comment on that aspect just yet.

All the same I bought them & I'm happy, I hope you are too. If not you can always send them back to Amazon.

Phone looks nice enough and the sound quality is reasonable, however it is lacking a bit in features and is can be quite awkward to use.
