My ancient BT cordless was giving up the ghost and I did quite a lot of research on new phone models. The Amazon reviews for the previous model, Panasonic KX-TG6412, clinched my decision.
The phones were easy to install, the manual is very clear and easy to follow. Setting up the phone book and copying to the other handset was simple (and I don't do mobiles). The display is easy to read and I appreciate it flagging up missed calls plus the caller list when people don't leave a message. The phones are comfortable to handle and the shoulder/ear grip feels quite secure when I'm wandering about the garden doing other things. Sound quality is good. Initially, there was a bit of distortion/echo but repositioning the broadband wireless hub in relation to the base unit seems to have remedied that.
In all, I'm very pleased with this product.

Average rating of 4/5 On the whole, pretty good, 2010-07-07
We just purchased this dual phone and answer machine to replace a Philips model that died a few days ago. On the whole I'm impressed, nice clear display, easy to set up, good quality feel, nice tactile buttons. It has some nice features including one to help locate your phone if it gets lost under a pile of papers etc.

I haven't used the answer machine yet but telephone calls are crisp and clear, unlike (in my experience so far) the other review suggests.

One criticism I have is the ringtone(s). They are all pretty awful 'polyphonic' tones, while this doesn't really interfere with the core function of the phone, it would have been nice to have a few 'normal' tones. Aside from that pretty happy.

Panasonic's Lumix DMC-FT2 withstands water projections, shocks and dust deposits, thanks to its tough body.  This compact camera is equipped with a 14.1-megapixel CCD sensor and is waterproof to depths of up to 10 metres. You can also drop it from a maximum height of 2 metres without it getting damaged. It's the ideal bit of kit for outdoor types!  As well as being extremely robust, the DMC FT2 takes fabulous pictures. Every last detail is captured, and blur is completely removed by the optical image stabiliser and broad ISO sensitivity range.  That's not all though! This camera also has a series of scene modes and intelligent resolution technology, where outlines, textured areas and soft gradation spots are automatically detected for clear and crisp images in both photos and videos. Whether you're shooting portraits at night or landscapes during the day, the FT2 guarantees fantastic results! It's particularly good for low-light conditions and macro pictures too. You'll even be able to try your hand at film directing with the help of the on-board HD video mode. In fact, the Lumix DMCFT2 can record sequences with resolutions as high as 1280 x 720 pixels,...
Average rating of 5/5 THE PERFECT ACTION CAMERA, 2010-06-15
In brief: if Batman had a camera, this would be it!

I was looking for a camera I could take with me to the beach or rafting without ever worrying about it. I wanted something I could drop in a backpack, leave it on the sand and take it in the sea without giving it a second thought. By now I am a satisfied PANASONIC/LUMIX customer, ever since my favorite FZ28 (the most convenient creativity camera) and my trusted TZ8 (the perfect city-tourist camera).
So, when, after all the research it came between this camera and the Olympus Mju Tough 8000, I showed some brand-name loyalty and went with the LUMIX. And the important thing is that I never regretted it.

This camera comes with a very bright wide-angle 28mm Leica lens which is optically stabilized, capturing on a 14.1MP sensor and an adequate 4.6x zoom (128mm). Typical for a LUMIX, it has a working intelligent Auto (iA) setting that gives you a piece of mind: perfect photos every time, without having to fidget with the settings.
Departing from the auto settings, the camera offers almost 20 shooting modes, 5 color modes, 6 focus modes and decent aperture range (f/3.3 to f/10) and shutter speeds (8 to 1/1300).

The camera is Waterproof up to 10m/33ft (which means you can safely take it splashing and snorkeling but not diving without an extra casing). So far, neither condensation nor sand have slipped through the seals.
It is also advertised to be Shockproof to drops up to 2m/6.6ft and Freeze-proof -10C (claims I have yet to test - no, I am not putting it in the freezer, it will have to wait 6 months for the slopes to open!).

For such a small lens (and such a dense sensor - will the MegaPixel-war ever cease?) there is surprisingly little noise. Given enough light the pictures are flawless. When indoors or with limited light the ISO will increase and so will the noise. I can understand such things to be important to photography enthusiasts but for the purposes I bought it, this is an excellent camera.

I don't usually use my photo camera for videos but it is nice to know the option is there. The video (up to 1280x720) can be captured either in AVCHD Lite format or AVI (make sure to have a large enough memory card if saving in AVI). As an added bonus, you can zoom while shooting a video and (almost) no whirring noise registers.

My only gripes are that the position of the lens is something I had to get used to (unless I wanted to both include my left hand in the shot and leave smudges on the lens) and that there is no viewfinder. Understandable for a compact camera but having the sun behind you will test the anti-glare capability of the 2.7' LCD.

The camera comes in 4 colors: inox-gray, royal-blue, metallic-yellow and safety-orange. I opted for the later out of vanity (it... matches the orange details of my summer watch) - but as an added bonus it is really easy to find even if it has slipped to the bottom of your backpack.

An excellent (made in Japan) action camera.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Average rating of 5/5 An Outstanding Video Camera, 2010-07-15
I spent about a year researching what HD Video Camera to replace my tape driven system with. The TM700 ran parallel to its Sony equivalent but was £250 and was more feature rich- no contest. I've not been disappointed. Key features for me are: - 35mm wide angle lense, which I bought a set of UV filters for (protects the lense) it is superb as is the zoom lense; antishake feature - it works; auto settings - just point; the view finder in sunny weather and the memory storage, which when connected to my PC becomes an extension of the file store - simples! One other point, sound, again superb with greatly reduced wind noise.
Don't bother with the editing software unless you have a very powerful PC, its slow, to the point you think something is wrong with the PC. I commend Pinnacle Studio as an editing package, which having had horrendous experiences with other programs is probably the best package in the sub £100 bracket. My PC is an Intel Dual Core clocking at 2.16Mhz with 2GB ram for AVCHD files it ain't fast enough and I am currently stuck with Pinnacle Studio 12 as 14 needs more processing power too. However, you can edit clips on the camera; crude but currently effective, whilst I save my pennies for a new PC. I've currently made one film, with text, transitions and sound, the quality is maintained and run on a non-HD TV is fantasic compared to my previous efforts and without the full 1920 x 1080P setting too. This is a top of the range quality product - well worth the investment.

Dynamite TV, outstanding service from Amazon, the best problem solvers in the business, and great work from Sky.

Moving here from America two years ago into a grade 2 building and having only freeview was driving me crazy.

This Panasonic is the BEST TV I have ever owned!

Average rating of 5/5 Panasonic DVD-Hard Disc recorder, 2010-06-06
Having put up with a Samsung DVD recorder/player for five years, and been totally frustrated by its complicated set of procedures just to record onto a DVD, what a joy it is to change to this Panasonic product. Simple to use, with clear (though comprehensive) instructions, it is like taking a breath of fresh air after emerging from a smoke-filled room.

I changed to a Panasonic LCD TV at the same time, replacing a Samsung LCD TV that was simply rubbish. Happy now......

Got mine yesterday and it only took about ten minutes to set up.
the sound is amazing from this unit and if you have a panasonic TV the unit picks up on what you are watching and changes the sound input to match, no messing about changing different settings on remotes.
the speakers are so small and discreat and the subwoofer gives out realy good bass for something that is nearly half the size of normal subwoofers.
overall i am realy pleased.
very quick delivery from amazon.
