Average rating of 5/5 HTC Tattoo, 2010-02-21
This is my first HTC mobile phone, and so far, I am very pleased with it. It took a little while to get used to the OS but after a few days I was able to navigate through the menu with ease. I would recommend having an internet package on your contract as this phone is all about conecting to the web. It was extemely easy to set up email accounts, and I particularly liked the ability to sync with varios address books and calendars.

Protect your Touch Pro2's screen from scratches and stylus wear & tear with a screen protector.
Average rating of 4/5 They stick on, but expensive, 2010-01-13
I suppose you have to pay for good quality screen protectors.

Unless inferior brands, I have put these protectors on several weeks ago, and they have yet to start to peel off.

Overview of HTC HD2 PO S511 Flip Case Protect your HTC HD2 from scrapes and scratches with this protective PO S511 flip case
Average rating of 4/5 Much more convenient than the standard HTC pouch, 2010-02-19
This is a much better case than the standard HTC pouch. The quality of the case is very good. It allows quick access to the touch screen via the flip front. The front tucks nicely behind the phone allowing you to have the screen exposed when you place it on a desk and it sits at a slight tilt towards you thanks to the latch. The phone is held securely in the case by the two small clips either side and there is sufficient access to all ports/buttons when the flap is closed.

My only concern is that the corners of the phone are not protected. So if you were unfortunate enough to drop it and it landed directly on a corner, the case wouldn't provide much protection.

Average rating of 5/5 HTC Hero case/pouch, 2010-02-18
The phone fits snugly into the case and is held in tightly with, I think, a fair amount of protection although this will not be as tough as a hard case. It looks like leather and does not add too much bulk for putting the phone in a pocket.

Genuine HTC Hero Screen Protector SP P260
Average rating of 5/5 Don't Shout and Swear, Protect Your Phone, 2010-03-03
I used my beautiful HTC Hero for only a week before it managed to wriggle free of my pocket and crash screen-side down, to the ground outside my back door. That left a lovely, deep-looking scratch, dead centre of the screen.

You can probably imagine the colourful language, were it not for the presence of my saviour, HTC's SP P260 screen protector, which I had applied just hours after receiving the phone (for such a cheap accessory why they can't include one in the box is anyone's guess). Without it, the phone would've sustained some pretty nasty damage, but with the protector peeled away, it was as good as new.

The moral of this story; always, always apply a screen protector, it doesn't matter how careful you are, one day you'll be glad you did.

In practical terms, screen protectors are always fiddly to apply and this one (or pair, there are two in the pack) is no exception. The SP P260 is not quite a perfect fit as the radius corners don't precisely match those of the Hero's display, but that's not noticeable other than under extremely close examination and does make removing the screen protector a little easier. Even so, you've got to be really careful and quite precise when lining up the protector with the phone; I found it easier to start with the short edge and then gently "roll" the protector onto the screen in a single direction, avoiding any bubbles that might occur. It is possible to immediately remove and reposition the protector if you make a complete mess of it, but more than once is unlikely to be a good idea.

Remember to ensure that the screen of the phone is clean first - no dust or greasy finger marks. I use a very mild solution of Fairy Liquid (other washing-up liquids are available) on a soft tissue, and then a lint-free damp cloth to remove any residue. Once applied to a clean surface, the protector is almost invisible and doesn't alter screen sensitivity or functionality in any way.

One word of warning; the SP P260 can very easily become statically-charged when you're peeling the protective layer away from the sticky side, at which point it'll attract every particle of dust, strand of cat fluff or budgie feather from miles around. Get any of the above, no matter how small, onto the adhesive side and you'll end up with a bubble and a dead-spot in the touch-sensitivity of the screen. Therefore it's always a good idea to find a clean environment (the draining board of the kitchen sink works for me) and roll up your sleeves.

  • Very simple to install - 100% bubble-free adhesion to a clean screen! The special silicon adhesive layer displaces the air when the foil is applied, and the latter automatically adheres snugly to the screen.
  • Operating functions are not diminished! This screen-protection foil procures a pleasant writing sensation and is optimised for use on touch screens.

Average rating of 5/5 Superb, 2010-03-06
This protector is superb.
Fits smoothly, absulutely clear - looks like there is none. With the first try I was able to fit it without any bubbles in the middle (seems that that advertised silicon layer really pushes the bubbles out). I caught 2-3 small dust particles near the edges so it was not very difficult to remove them.
Two days ago I tried a cheap chinese protective layer and I caught dozens of air bubbles and it even had scratches itself.
This one has cutouts for loudspeaker and buttons - so it protects event that part of the screen below buttons.
I would say it's worth every penny it cost.
By the way, this protector is produced in germany.

Average rating of 5/5 Almost Perfect!!, 2010-03-03
OK, so your probably thinking there is no such thing as the perfect phone for everyone and your right, but this one almost nailed it for me. I bought this to replace my Nokia N900 which was also almost perfect but not quite for reasons I won't go into here.

I give this 5 stars for being the best Windows Mobile phone currently available, so if Winmo is your thing there is no other place to go. My girlfriend has the iphone and as much as I dislike the iphone package as a whole you really cant argue with the quality if the screen and the ease of text input and having used the iphone, the HTC unfortunately does not compare in this respect when you first take it out of the box. If I was writing this review after one day of using it I would be giving it 2 stars. However after a week I have now got used to the extreemly sensitive screen and can now operate the phone properly. You have to be patient for the first few days then you will start to love this phone.

The only other dissapointing thing when comparing to the iphone or Android phones is the lack of downloadable apps on Windows Marketplace. This should improve though in time.

Other than that the phone looks and feels stunning, comes with all usual Windows productivity software and the screen is delicious, the best around. It is also very very fast. I use it to watch TV when out and about by linking into my Slingbox at home (you have to purchase Sling Mobile software) but it works brilliantly.

So to summarise I give this 5 stars for being the best Windows phone by a mile. I would equate this to 90% so its not perfect and will take a few days to get it just right for you and get used to the screen but it will be worth the effort. Recommended

HTC HD2 Screen Protector SP P300 (2 Pieces) Description Protect your HD2 screen from scratches and stylus wear tear with a screen protector.
Average rating of 5/5 Easy to fit and works exactly as expected, 2010-02-09
No major review here - it's just a screen protector! But it fits perfectly, there is no loss of sensitivity on the digitizer, and there are two of them. Exactly what I was looking for, and it arrived within 48hrs.
