Worth paying extra for a genuine HTC charger, 2010-07-27
I had previously purchased a cheap generic charger for considerably less money but I worried about it overheating if left plugged in all the time, it might burn the house down. So I coughed up the extra and bought this charged. I am delighted I did, put side by side with my cheap charger this charger is heavier and sturdier, it also has safety marks missing on the cheap charger. I leave this charger plugged in all the time and unless it is charging it is always cold. I kept the cheap one to carry with me for emergency charging!

Worth Buying Genuine HTC Accessories, 2010-09-02
I bought this after buying a cheaper product on Amazon, which never really worked properly.

This the genuine HTC article, the HTC logo lights up when fitted properly into the lighter socket, charges efficiently.

I would say it is well worth buying the genuine article.

This charger is very well made product that could be used for any device as the USB cable is detachable. You could then fit a USB to whatever cable e.g SatNav, other phones etc.

It feels solid, the HTC logo lights and is well priced. I've had no problems using with with HTC devices or others like TomTom (using a different cable).

Many cheaper car adapters aren't fused and could damaged your attached equipment. This is fused, delivers enough amps even for demanding electical devices.

The cable is well made, high quality rubber curly USB cable with a solid connection to the power adapter.

Love my Wildfire!, 2010-08-24
If money was not an issue I would probably have bought an iPhone 4 or HTC Desire but in the end went for the economic combination of the Wildfire on the GiffGaff mobile network which was offering free Internet at the time of writing. I am fairly techy and was worried that the Wildfire might disapoint on performance, build quality or screen size but I need not have worried. Build quality is solid, I was happy with the speed and the smaller screen still seems great compared to my old mobile. I wasnt that familiar with the Android operating system the phone operates on but in basic terms you are given 7 screens that you can fully customise in any way you like with widgets eg. clocks, weather, email etc (like you get on iGoogle) or you can install aps (small programs like games, currency converters etc) that you can download to the phone from the android market (like Apple's ap store). So far I havent had a problem finding any ap that you would get on an iPhone with the exception of skype which was annoying. Overall I highly reccommend this product if you want a smartphone but dont have money to throw at it.

I finally bought this after looking at lots of alternatives (ranging from a few pence to c. £12) and I am haven't been disappointed. Contrary to picture above, the product arrived in HTC Desire-specific packaging which was encouraging from the start.

Positives:

arrived within 48h of order, hasn't significantly affected the appearance or response of the touchscreen,VERY cheap, HTC branded product with very good fit to the screen size.

Negatives:

as with most/all "single-use" covers you only get one shot at applying it and it can be quite easy to get it wrong (there are some helpful videos on YouTube if you are unsure). Having said that, this one went on with relatively little fuss compared to others that I have used previously for a different phone.

Definitely worth the 85p + ~£1.50 delivery.

I'd been using a K-JAM and a Sony phone for some time, but neither did it all. Then the HTC Desire came along....
If you're hesitating about buying one then don't - you won't be sorry! It's everything you could want. Small enough for a pocket, but a great screen. Thin and light. The best thing I've found so far is that it just works. Two days after I bought it I received the update for Android 2.2 (with Flash 10.1) and it installed effortlessly with no glitches. Now even iPlayer is available to me. The list of what this phone can do seems endless. Buy one.
